Member of the National Council

Bojana Potočan was elected to the National Council as a representative of independent professions.

In the National Council, she is:

  • head of the Interest Group of Farmers, Crafts and Trade and Independent Professions,
  • member of the Commission for International Relations and European Affairs,
  • member of the Commission for State Organisation.

About the member of the National Council

Bojana Potočan graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana in 1985. That same year, she was employed as an intern at the Higher Court in Ljubljana as part of her trainee practice. In 1988, she passed the state bar examination and was afterwards employed for a short period in the economic sector. This was followed by employment as an assistant at the District Court in Ljubljana – Ljubljana Unit. In 1991, she became an independent lawyer, as she remains today. For 11 years, she was a member of the management board of the Slovene Bar Association and is currently a member of the Academy of the Bar of the Slovene Bar Association. As a mediator, she has been cooperating with the District Court in Ljubljana since 2005. Since 2012, she has performed the function of a member of the National Council and represents the interests of independent professions.
