Marko Lotrič was elected to the National Council as a representative of employers.

About the member of the National Council
Marko Lotrič, former CEO and founder of the internationally acclaimed LOTRIČ Metrology Group, started his independent career by opening a workshop for calibrating scales, weights and pipettes. Today, the group unites more than 180 experts in the field of metrology, employed across ten companies in eight countries. In addition to the parent company LOTRIČ Meroslovje, which has operated in the Selška Valley from the very beginning, four other companies within the group operate in Slovenia – LOTRIČ Certificiranje, Iskra LOTRIČ, PSM merilni sistemi and Mikro Medica. There are also subsidiaries in Austria, Germany, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia, where accredited laboratories are set up.
Lotrič believes immensely in the power of knowledge, fostering innovation and abiding by integrity. Marko Lotrič was born in Kranj in 1963, he is an electrician by profession and speaks English, Croatian and Serbian.
