In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and was employed as a legal trainee at the Tatjana Medic and Borut Tiran law firm in Novo mesto. After passing the state bar examination in 2010, she continued her work as a candidate lawyer. At the end of 2010, she accepted a new challenge and started her work as a legal practitioner at the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS). Her work included both negotiation and cooperation in the formation of regulation, as well as individual legal assistance to workers and Union members, including court representation.
In 2017, she took over the position of secretary general at the Union of Transportation and Telecommunication Workers, which is a part of the family of the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia and of the European Transport Workers’ Federation (where she is also active at the EU level). As a negotiator or head of a negotiation group, she participates in three collective agreements in specific activities and numerous company-level negotiations. As head of coordination of service unions, she is simultaneously also vice-president of ZSSS. She works in various working bodies, is president of the Committee of the Fund of Obligatory Supplementary Pension Schemes with KAD and is vice-president of the Economic and Social Expert Committee with SDH. Through additional education, she obtained the title of mediator.
She speaks English (A-level, University of Cambridge), Croatian and French actively, and German and Italian passively. Her goal is continuous education and training in the field of law, negotiation, and adult education. She finds motivation for her work in assisting vulnerable individuals in society and in the art of finding the best solutions through negotiation and honest communication.
